The Val di Sole offers countless walks and trekking routes in the mountains between the Dolomites of Trentino, where it is possible to admire landscapes and breathtaking views, listen to the relaxing flow of the streams and the impetuous downpour of the waterfalls. let yourself be enveloped by the inebriating scents of flowering meadows and woods of high conifers. Here you can spot pretty wild animals like the squirrel, the marmot, the deer and the roe deer, the bearded vulture, the capercaillie, the fox and the majestic golden eagle.
The Val di Sole is considered an authentic natural heritage, it is a land strongly devoted to environmental respect, to the enhancement of landscape resources and ancient traditions. Embraced by two natural parks – the Adamello Brenta and the Stelvio National Park – it offers a network of paths that will satisfy every hiker: from easy paths, passable even with a stroller and within reach of children and families, to challenging climbs and exciting climbs along the via ferratas that allow you to reach the highest peaks of the Brenta Dolomites. The mountain huts at the foot of the peaks can be easily reached thanks to the ski lifts that are open even in summer. From here there are paths suitable for excursions both on foot and by mountain bike.
Hiking in the mountains, an alpine environment, must be tackled with suitable clothing.
It is necessary to wear mountain boots with non-slip soles, layered clothing (T-shirt, sweatshirt or sweater), a hat and sunglasses; it is useful to bring with you a small backpack containing a spare t-shirt, water bottle or bottle, sun cream, wind and rain –proof jacket, umbrella.
